Why mechanics HATE Citroens

Too many sidesteps for a task.
To accomplish a task, you have to take several sidesteps before you can get to the goal.
Example 1:  Driveshaft removal requires that you separate the lower control arm on the front steering pivot.  This is not an unreasonable task to liberate the driveshaft.  BUT the wiring for the brake pad wear warning light is routed along the lower arm, and the only way to separate the arm is to remove the wire.  But removing the wire entails several more fasteners, and unwinding it from the pivot.   Or you can cut the wire at the balljoint, which I have seen on every Citroen.
