One of our day stops was at the St. Cyril
Monastery. The monastery was undergoing renovation work, which was
nice to see. I do not know if the funding for the work came from the
state or from the church or from private sources. Someone in Russia
has seen the need to invest in the country's cultural history and preserve
it. Just a of photos, as I really did not have a lot of commentary from the visit. Our stop was a bit too brief to fully enjoy the monastery. Most of the visit was a snooze. We did pass through a small town, which I thought would have been far more interesting.
