Our first stop out of Budapest was in
Kalocsa, known
mainly for its paprika and its horsemen of the Puzsta. |
|
One of the high points of the entire trip
was the horsemen. |
 |
|
First stop was at some Hungarian Folk house.
Tourist trap |
|
Then to the paprika Museum, which is an attic of a
house. We go upstairs in the house, and what greets us? |
Ristras. lots of ristras.
It even smells like ristras.
hmmmmmmm. |
Then the girl tells us that the pepper that is now
Hungarian Paprika originated in Mexico. |
So much for local color. |
|
After the Paprika museum, we go to some big pink
church. |
|
Welcoming committee at the church. |
