Assembly of the hose ends.  This is a simple process.  Set the collar or ring part in a vise with softjaws:
Put the hose in the collar and turn counterclockwise,
until the hose bottoms out in the collar.
Put some oil on the nipple part of the hose connector and screw it onto this collar.  (sorry no picture)
Finished 180° hose ends.  OK, so I scratched the anodized finish a little, but no-one's going to see it. .

The hoses installed on the oil filter mount.  At first,  I thought I would install both hoses on the same side of the mount, like in this image:
But during a test fit it became apparent that bringing the hoses up on either side of the mount would work better.
It is during this test fitting that the swivel part of the hose fitting's design makes a huge difference.
