Getting There

Off to a rough start.  Thanks partially to my dawdling and partially to crosstown traffic, I succeeded in missing the train to BOston on the morning of the 2nd.  The train was scheduled to leave at 8:30, and I arrived at Penn Station at 8:35.  The train was probably still in the station, but they had already taken it off the board.  The next train would have put me in Boston at 2pm, too late for a 4:30 pushback from Logan Airport.
The Boston Terminal E is a mixture of beauty and the beast.  The ticketing & departures section is magnificent.
Once you are through the security procedures, you are stuck in a low-ceilinged dark waiting area, with grey ceilings and uncomfortable furniture.   I guess they want you to be happy to be leaving.

The Frankfurt Airport is an interesting mixture of textures that look lethal to the touch.  Unfortunately my digital camera batteries died after my second photo of these massively brutal lighting fixtures
Lots of indirect reflected light.

Whoever managed the branding and continuity for Austrian Airlines did a very good job.
