I'm taking a break from working on the
engine, because, there really is not that much else to be done right now.
So I have turned my attention towards preparation of the engine bay to
receive the engine.
Hydraulics |

|
I'm following the hydraulics system from
the HP pump all the way through to the devices operated, and then on
to the reservoir through the return lines. except where it is
necessary, I'm leaving the HP side of the system sealed up.
The link from the pressure regulator to the brake accumulator is
already open, so modifications there will do no incremental harm.
However, I do not plan to open any of the other HP unions unless it is
absolutely necessary. The metal HP lines will get a good
cleaning and I will remove whatever surface corrosion is there.
Rubber return lines will get replaced. The plastic dribble lines
will get removed and cleaned. Those that are too stiff
from age will get replaced, but what I have seen thus far is
encouraging. |
